Dedicated to Addressing Sex Trafficking in Las Vegas

RubiesLV is a survivor-led nonprofit organization that takes a comprehensive, experience-based approach to helping Las Vegas sex trafficking victims and their families heal together.

We believe in every human being’s value.

Through the power of our faith, we help industry girls and victims understand their true value. Our goal is to help those who have been trafficked or sexually exploited see themselves through eyes that aren’t their abusers’ for the first time. By providing aid and assistance to survivors (in the form of everything from medical resources to job-placement assistance and therapy), we help victims and their families rebuild together.


We believe the only way to change the world is from within it.

Our approach is driven by first-hand, real-world experience and rooted in boots-on-the-ground insight. Our founder’s history as a victim of sexual exploitation offers us intimate knowledge of the industry that we put to action on behalf of trafficked women and men every single day. You’ll find us testifying in court, connecting with industry girls at strip clubs, porn conventions, or any place of exploitation, working with law enforcement, and so much more. Above all, our experience means we know how to work with discretion and protect the safety and identities of the victims we work with.


We believe in A HOLISTIC APPROACH.

We attack sex trafficking in Las Vegas from every angle—employing preventative efforts, educating our community leaders, working with children, and helping victims escape and heal. We also take a whole-family approach to rebuilding—because we know that the lasting effects of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation are felt by so many more than just one individual. As sex-industry survivors, we know confronting this nuanced and powerful industry takes a comprehensive approach.

Meet Our Founder

SAMANTHA Summers-Rivas 

Samantha Summers-Rivas is the founder of RubiesLV, a faith-based organization that reaches people enslaved in the sex industry. Samantha had a vision for restoring the lives of others after she experienced a powerful deliverance in her own life from these types of addictions and problems. At just sixteen years of age, Samantha lost her father to cancer.  This trauma—together with the absence of her working mother—left a tremendous void. She tried to fulfill that void by seeking monetary gain. This propelled her in to the sex industry in various ways.

It wasn’t until she found faith as a born-again Christian that she broke free from both the pain of her past and the subsequent addictive behaviors it left her with. Samantha’s traumatic experience in the industry and inspirational story of rebuilding have fueled her unparalleled passion for people—making her an extremely effective, compassionate, and relatable advocate for Las Vegas sex trafficking victims and their families.

Through her work with RubiesLV, Samantha and her husband, Joe, had the opportunity to become foster parents. This experience taught her an incredible amount about children in the system and parents who have been trafficked or exploited. Ultimately, it ignited a fire inside of Samantha to advocate on behalf of children and help families heal together in a safe environment.

Samantha’s history as a victim of sexual exploitation offers her incredible insight into how to best address it and—most importantly—help its victims rebuild. From her innate ability to put victims at ease to her in-depth knowledge of industry recruitment tactics trafficking signs, Samantha uses her past experience—combined with the power of her faith—to connect with victims and help them see their true value.

How We Help

Community Outreach + Prevention

We believe empowering our community with knowledge plays a pivotal role in the prevention of people being sexually exploited.

From working with children and speaking at events to consulting with non-profits and partnering with casinos to train and educate their staff on how to identify victims and get them proper help—we educate our community on sex trafficking in Las Vegas with accurate, effective, experience-based information and resources you’ll find nowhere else.

Support for Those in and Out of the Industry

Our intimate knowledge of the sex-trafficking industry allows us invaluable insight as we work to identify its victims and help them rebuild.

We take a full-family approach to healing—working with foster care/fictive kinship, connecting families with therapists, and providing job placement. Above all, we use our own personal story and the strength of our faith to help victims see their true value as they heal and overcome the lifelong effects of being sexually exploited.

In this scripture, “she” is not referencing a woman—but wisdom. At RubiesLV, we believe wisdom is the key to effectively addressing sex trafficking in Las Vegas and helping victims heal.
